Honeymoon by Maggie and Zach

Originally we had planned to go to the Smoky Mountains and stay in a cabin for the week, but it was forecast to thunderstorm there for the entire week of our honeymoon! Luckily we hadn't reserved anything yet. So we put out an urgent request for suggestions from friends and ended up settling on the relatively near by Brown County, IN. This was a wonderful choice! They even call it the "Little Smokies". We rented a little cabin in the woods for the week. It featured an outdoor hot tub, a fire pit, and a lovely secluded woodsy view. This was a perfectly comfortable place to unplug, disconnect, and relax! We played games, soaked, got massaged, explored, hiked, drank tea, went out for decadent meals, and sat by the fire watching the Embers play.

When we woke up the first morning, we found that a branch had fallen and totally blocked the driveway! It was a good thing that we brought lots of groceries! We were well prepared to stay in that cabin for as long as we were trapped there. A local "guy" came and chopped up the tree and removed it, we attributed all spooky things that happened after that to "the guy".

While exploring the nearby state park - an elderly couple asked us if we were on our honeymoon. When we asked how they knew, the woman said, "Just how you're acting," then motioned toward her husband and said, "You don't see him holding my hand!" They had been married for 63 years!! Such a beautiful moment!
