Kids are very special to us and we were so glad to be able to include kids in our special day! Thank you to all the parents and child care providers who helped make our wedding a great day for kids!
Kid Parade
There are so many kids who are special to us that we couldn't imagine choosing just one ringbearer and one flower-kid and we also didn't want to lock kids into those traditionally gendered roles. We tried to think about what we'd have most enjoyed at a wedding if we were kids. What do kids love more than a parade? We told each of our chosen kids that they could do ANYTHING they wanted - and they sure did! We enjoyed flower petal throwing, a cute baby in a wagon, ninja turtles sword fighting, harmonica players (a sword fighting ninja turtle harmonica player!), drummers, and more!
Our piano player, Kyle's, choice to mash-up Entrance of the Gladiators with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song during the parade was brilliant!

Kid's Tent
The Kids' Tent was a team effort and a tremendous success. A few parents gifted the services of their child care professionals to staff the tent, our friend Erica Tesla coordinated all the logistics of tent setup and activities, and our friend Natalie Smith created a customized activity book - themed to our wedding - for the kids to enjoy. By all accounts and plenty of photographic evidence - the kids loved it all!
